One of my favorite memories is of my Granny Phillips sausage rolls on Christmas morning. She would put them in an old enamel bowl with a lid and sit some on the wood heater for us to enjoy while she finished breakfast.

So simple yet so good! Enjoy!

You can make homemade biscuit dough (your favorite recipe or Bisquick mix) and roll out or just use simple canned crescent roll dough.

Uhhhh Roll out thin and take UNCOOKED breakfast sausage (I like hot) and tear it into pieces and lay on top of dough and press out over dough. Roll up into a roll and slice off into pinwheels. Put on baking sheet and cook at 350 degrees until brown. I like to flip them after about 7 minutes halfway thru to ensure browning on both sides.

That’s all! Just bake and enjoy.

Side note: you can also chill the roll in fridge for easier slicing or freeze the roll for future use. Quick weekend time saver!
